Uh, yeah, now that I remember my login and password, I guess I can start to post again. Sheesh, sometimes I think that I have too many passwords and usernames to remember.
Well, work has been different since the business has changed hands. Back in November, Joanne sold the business and it just hasn't been the same since. The new owners are really great people and lots of fun to work and joke with....just not the same. Oh well, at least I'm back to my regular short hours again and that is a big plus!
I've started playing hockey again in the mornings with the guys that Kelvin works with. They are a really nice bunch of guys who let me get away with lots. Sometimes I think that they really like it when I play because they can skate past me really quick and give me a little nudge and know that I'll fall. They don't care that I'm not good, they just like to see me out there.
The floor in the basement is getting closer to being done all the time. Kelvin has taken two weeks leave to work on it. He has been doing a great job and it's going to look so much better than if the company would have done it. We actually got a payout from the insurance company and are doing it ourselves so that we don't have labour costs and therefore can put more expensive and better quality stuff in. I just can't wait till it's completely finished. If I can figure out how, I will post some pictures of the end result so that everyone can see the new look.
Well, better get back to grouting again.

What a day.....
What a day I had today. It was one of the most stessful days I've had since school has started. It was one of those days where it seemed like I was busy and didn't get anything done.
I got word from a friend that some blood results revealed some early stages of COPD and that some difficult lifestyle changes have to be made.
I work with a french guy who is really a good talker and can't prove himself in any of the things that he is doing and I'm having to follow him around cleaning up his messes and trying to make his screwups salvagable.
We had a flood in our basement July 10, 2006 that the insurance company made me get five estimates to get it fixed and now a year and a half later, it's still not fixed. The company putting the flooring in was supposed to come today but got backed up and won't be here till next week.
Our family is scheduled to go to Medicine Hat next week to see my mother-in-law and her mom which is a 7-8 hour drive but my husband just informed me that he may not get Friday off to go so that puts it to Saturday for us to leave.
The only light at the end of the tunnel I see is that I get six days of holiday in Calgary with my mom to see Sweet Adelines International Competition.
I'm soon off to worship practice and really hoping that my day will end better than it has gone so far. A good worship practice always brings me out of the dumps. God is good!!
